Compensation of Academic Loss Programme (CALP)
The programme aims to compensate for academic losses in subjects. The ministry also launched a training programme for teachers at the beginning of August on implementing the Academic Loss Compensation Programme.
The Compensation of Academic Loss Programme (CALP) at Kendriya Vidyalaya Barkuhi is designed to bridge learning gaps and support students in overcoming academic setbacks. The programme aims to ensure continuity in learning and help students regain confidence and competence in core subjects.
Implemented under the guidance of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, CALP focuses on identifying learning gaps through diagnostic assessments and providing structured remedial support. Special attention is given to key areas such as language proficiency, mathematics, and subject-specific concepts where students may require additional assistance.
The programme includes remedial classes, targeted worksheets, interactive teaching strategies, peer learning, and continuous monitoring of student progress. Teachers adopt learner-centered approaches and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Through CALP, Kendriya Vidyalaya Barkuhi ensures that no child is left behind, strengthening academic foundations and promoting steady progress toward curricular goals.
